The Purpose of Integrative Pulmonary Care & Medical is

To Breathe Love Back into Our Lungs
"Respirare Amorem in nostro Pulmone"

About

About Sam

"It was never about the letters, prestige, ratings of how some people thought of me, and even lied about what my model of Medicine is about or how  I communicated with another human being; it was not even the comfort of a great job but only our unwavering Love for the Art of Medicine, and how I could serve our True Purpose through extraordinary service in Medicine; In the face of human suffering, Innovation, Compassion, Quality and Integrity must come first rather than Volume-based Care that does not align to the centrality of what Medicine represents for humanity".

Established on 1 November 2005, Integrative Pulmonary Care & Medical commenced its operations in providing excellence in Respiratory Medicine to bring together our collective wisdom and skills in caring for people from all  walks of life. Its sister clinic, Blue Hills Lung Centre commenced its clinical service in 2008 from the current location at the Universal Medicine Clinic in Goonellabah, Northern NSW.

In addition to providing telehealth consultations, our clinic service extended to Brisbane Southside and Bayside from 06 December 2019 to 10 January 2022 for people unable to travel to the Brisbane CBD and required compassionate physician care during the critical time of covid-19 pandemic measures.

Planning for the ongoing difficulties experienced by patients who require timely specialist review, our medical practice has rapidly adapted to telehealth consultations and sessional clinics which will continue throughout 2022 and beyond as per the public's demand.

Our beauty-full practice logo symbolically represents of the duality and the One-ness of how the Love and Science of Medicine are brought together from at least two different paths of vocation towards the unified vision of Medicine, therefore each and every breath of true self ("lungs") bringing together of the love ("heart") we are.

"Once I found God and my purpose, I realised how much work is needed for humanity in its care of Lungs and how I must return beyond healing myself"

(Sam Kim, circa 2006)

Treatment

Specialising in the Advanced Diagnosis and Treatment of Lung Diseases in Adults

Diagnosis

Beyond the use of technology and pharmacology in our modern day Medicine, advanced diagnosis in the diseases of the lung and the body with lung involvement requires methodical review of a person's life, and how the different elements of 'root causes' have contributed to illness and disease.

Treatment

There are now a broad range of innovative diagnostic and interventional techniques available in Respiratory Medicine which can be used to treat and/or to palliate challenging lung diseases such as endobronchial stenting, tumour debulking and control, endoscopic lung volume reduction, bronchial thermoplasty and more.

Admission

For some people, elective and/or acute admission for additional diagnostic procedures and/or medical treatment in collaboration with subspecialist(s) and allied health professionals may be required to help restore the body to health, or to prepare for the palliation in advanced end-stage lung disease.

Research & Healing

Being ill with any sort of human diseases is a terrible experience.  Yet, illness and disease can often bring opportunities for "Healing", which can be a rehabilitative process in the physical or a deeper "letting go" process of what does not belong to our body.

The Art of Medicine is carried throughout the human history to help humanity heal and restore its collective vitality of health. Through health, the entire society can function harmoniously in its diverse aspects of cultivation of raw materials, manufacturing of goods, distribution, education, science, religion and politics.

To separate even the notion of "healing" from Medicine is not fully understanding what Medicine truly means for people.  We can either practise Medicine in a linear model of offering diagnosis and treatment in the most mechanical way possible, or truly understand that everything we live can either contribute or heal our illness and disease
